The first group was asked to consume vitamin C 500 mg, the second group taking vitamin C, vitamin E and the antioxidant alpha-lipoic acid, while a third group taking a placebo pill.
As a result, when the researchers conducted the content of F2-Isoprostanes testing to measure the damage to cells, the compound was found slumped to 11 percent in the first group taking vitamin C than ordinary pill. While the participants who consumed a combination of vitamin C with other vitamins, showed decreased content of F2-Isoprostanes by 12 percent.
