20 'Being in the Natural Open Make You More Energetic  

Twenty minutes minutes outdoors and breathe fresh air have a stimulus effect similar to eating a cup of coffee. During this time you might just think of coffee as a drink that can refresh and restore power after you are stuck with the routine household and office work.

Though there is a simpler way and also better, which is a walk in the open. This method is believed to have the same benefits of revitalization as if you get an injection of caffeine. Researchers from the University of Rochester, New York, even claiming that without the need to conduct any activity, outside the room will increase energy and make you more excited.

"Nature is the fuel for the soul," says psychology professor Richard Ryan in the Journal of Environmental Psychology.

"The underlying bond between humans and the natural world serves to make 'people feel more alive'," he continued.

"Often when we feel lethargic grabbed a cup of coffee, but the results of this study show a better way to get energy is associated with nature," he said later.

In that study, Richard and his team perform five different experiments on 537 students. They are exposed to situations in different forms (both active or not) and environment (indoor, outdoor or on the banks of the river). The participants were also asked to imagine themselves in different environments to see if their energy level rose even though only by a mind. Then the researchers measured the energy level and mood of participants when they are in different environments and events throughout the day.

The results showed that participants felt more energetic when they imagine themselves outside the room. In fact they have increased significantly when the vitality of actually being in the open for 20 minutes. These benefits can be more than just brighten the atmosphere for office workers who tied behind a desk or the city's residents.

"Those who have a greater sense of vitality that not only get more energy for things they want to do, but is also more resistant to physical illness," says Richard, told the Telegraph.

He further said that, one way to healthy is to spend more time outdoors.

"Nature is something in which we evolved, making nature as part of our lives is very important, especially when we live and work in an environment full of building buildings."

Vitamin C For Passive Smokers  

Impact of smoking on health, surely you already know. Not only the active smokers, the impact of smoking can also affect the passive smoker. Well, for those of you who are in an environment often smokers, should regularly consume vitamin C.

Research in the United States prove that vitamin C helped reduce the risk of disease caused by exposure to cigarette smoke. Approximately 67 participants were non-smokers involved in a study conducted by Dr. Marion Dietrich of the University of California, Berkeley.

In that study, Dr. Marion divide the participants into three groups. Every day each group was asked to take the supplement. The first group was asked to consume vitamin C 500 mg, the second group taking vitamin C, vitamin E and the antioxidant alpha-lipoic acid, while a third group taking a placebo pill.

As a result, when the researchers conducted the content of F2-Isoprostanes testing to measure the damage to cells, the compound was found slumped to 11 percent in the first group taking vitamin C than ordinary pill. While the participants who consumed a combination of vitamin C with other vitamins, showed decreased content of F2-Isoprostanes by 12 percent.

Based on these findings, the researchers called for active and passive smokers to consume vitamin C regularly and also increase the intake of fruits and vegetables.
